TecPodium Lecterns in Practice – Scottish Police Academy

About

The Scottish Police College, with Tulliallan Castle at the heart of campus, is the central police training establishment serving all eight police forces in Scotland, comprising some 14,500 officers. The college provides comprehensive training from recruits to command level, including specialist training for detective and traffic officers.

Project Requirements

The College was seeking an easy to use AV solution for their campus facilities. The old AV control system in the rooms simply wouldn’t function correctly and operation required constant technical support, which the College lacked. Additional requirement in the project was to link professional video cameras, located in 2 distant rooms, to the presentation system so that students will be able to view live broadcast of events taking place within these rooms.

Solution

TecPodium was installed in the main conference hall at the Culzean building, capable of seating up to 202 delegates.
TecPodium integrates all audio-visual equipment in a single compact unit, facilitating interactive multimedia, Internet and computer presentations. The unit enables selection of a range of presentation sources – from DVD or computer – with a single button.
TecPodium was also connected to two video cameras broadcasting from two remote conference rooms to the main hall, for virtual hall enlargement, with Tecom’s well known “TecPodium Style” simple control.

Comments

Replacing the existing equipment with TecPodium solution, enables every trainee and trainer to easily operate and switch between all sources, and to concentrate on content delivery, rather than cable linkage.
TecPodium has already been installed in additional locations on the College campus.
